Popping up in eBook stores

John Wesley’s Book of Common Prayer is popping up in eBook stores all over the internet. I’m not sure why it’s still not on Amazon for Kindle yet, it was submitted at the same time as the others.

Of all the formats I have sampled so far the eBook looks best on iBooks being almost exactly as I personally tweaked everything. I was also delighted to discover that it is now on Google Play, I know all my friends on Android will appreciate that.

To find the format you desire including an eBook, paperback, or hardcover just stop by the Order page where you will find a whole list of options. If you are like me you will want both paper and eBook. I know that I have a copy of my favorite version of the Bible on just about every device I have.

We are still working to get ready for the leather edition. There are still a few hurdles to jump, but we are taking them as they come.

Special Edition Dust Jacket

Today we ordered the Draft copy of the edition that will be used for the limited leather edition. This will help us to review the book so that we can make any adjustments needed. We want this prayer book to be perfect!

Large Print Paperback

Today marks the release of the Large Print Paperback. This is perfect-bound and 6.14 wide x 9.21 tall with a 12pt sized text.

This was the first edition I started working on, but as things turned out it came out after the hardcover. They had to be just right before I’d release them.

The John Wesley Prayer Collection

The Hardcover is now complete and all three books are now available in the lulu.com Store. In about 10 weeks the book will be ready for distribution through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. If all things go well maybe a major publisher will pick up the production. As always the best deals will be made available through lulu where we have direct control of pricing.

The Large-print paperback has a few adjustments before it will be ready. That will take about two more weeks.

The limited leather edition is now in the works. We are adding some special touches that will make it a treasured addition to your library. We will get you more details as they become available.

For those of you who are wondering about what the printed books are like we have a 54 page printed sample available in the lulu.com store for just $2.44. This is available for those considering this material for coursework.

This includes pages from John Wesley’s The Book of Common Prayer, John Wesley’s Tracts on Prayer, and the MINUTES (from the 1784 Conference an early Discipline of the Methodist churches in the U.S.).
